Botanical Garden
Botanical Garden was built in May 18, 1817 by Prof. Dr. C. G. L. Reindwardt with the name s'Lands Plantentuinte Buitenzorg, then later the more famous and widely known name is Kebun Raya Bogor. In the long of its history, Kebun Raya Bogor had several names, that are "s'Lands Plantentuin, "Syokubutzuer "Botanical Garden of Buitenzorg, "Botanical Garden of Indonesia", Kebun Gede dan Kebun Jodoh. However, in the end it is known as Kebun Raya Bogor. The development of the garden was lead by Reindwardt himself, with Mr. James Hooper and W. Kent from Kew Botanical Garden, Richmond, England come to help. Reindwardt is the pioneer in Herbarium field. He is also known as the founder of Herbarium Bogoriense.
